What Are The Characteristics Of The Metal Stamping Workshop

2021.06.03View: 150

Precision metal stamping parts are an indispensable part of automobile production. Stamping process is one of the four main processes in automobile production, and its status is particularly important. The stamping workshop is the basis for the operation of other workshops, including the subsequent surface treatment and assembly workshops. For general production, the stamping workshop has high technical requirements, large process complexity, large investment scale, many production equipment, and long manufacturing cycle.

1. Production line layout of stamping workshop

The stamping workshop arranges corresponding production lines according to the production capacity of the entire factory. Due to the different stamping parts required by the product, the number of steps required to process metal stamping parts is also different. According to the different production processes of metal stamping parts, the stamping line can be divided into stamping lines of different tonnage. Generally, each production line needs to produce different metal stamping parts according to the different tonnage of the press, and these metal stamping parts need to be suitable for production on the production line. Because each stamping production line needs to produce several different types of processes, and the punch tonnage required for each process is different, different tonnage punches should be allocated to each production line.

2. The process of stamping parts is complex

The various metal stamping parts needed for production, except for some semi-finished products purchased from outside, are all produced by our own stamping workshop. The production of each metal stamping part usually goes through multiple processes, mainly including uncoiling and blanking, stretching, trimming, stamping and flanging, etc. Among them, uncoiling blanking is to place the plate on the blanking machine before stamping production, and process it into a geometric shape suitable for stamping production. Different stamping parts require different production processes, and different production processes require different molds for processing. Since each metal stamping part has a fixed production process route, the complicated process route for producing the metal stamping part makes it difficult to arrange production.

3. Production line with both ends at the same time

According to the process requirements of the stamping production line, when arranging different tonnage punches in each process, the high, medium and low tonnages are generally arranged from both ends to the middle. In this way, two-way production can greatly improve the production efficiency of the stamping workshop and the utilization rate of the punch, thereby reducing production costs.

4. Batch production

When the stamping shop produces metal stamping parts, it does not produce one product at a time, nor does it produce all the stamping parts planned to be produced in the production cycle. Instead, it considers the replacement time of production molds, the number of plate cuts and the economy. On this basis, mass production is carried out. Mass production refers to dividing the metal stamping parts planned to be produced in the production planning cycle into several batches according to production needs. Each batch is produced every day, and the numbering is completed in the planning cycle. The advantage of mass production is that it will not make the production time of a single batch of metal stamping parts too long, will not affect the production of other metal stamping parts, which will lead to the use of downstream workshops and reduce production costs.
